US President Donald Trump is reportedly seeking to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un this fall.
Modern.az reports that, according to the Wall Street Journal, Trump is considering a new meeting with Kim Jong Un to resume talks on Pyongyang's denuclearization.
According to sources, the possible meeting could take place in November within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit. The summit is planned to be held in Shenzhen, China.
Trump is reportedly viewing a new personal meeting with Kim Jong Un as an opportunity to resume dialogue with North Korea.
The US president had previously announced that the scale of joint military exercises with South Korea would be reduced.
Trump wrote on the social network "Truth Social" that this decision was influenced by his "very good relations" with Kim Jong Un.
Trump later told reporters that another reason for the decision was Seoul's refusal to participate in operations to unblock the Strait of Hormuz.
