General of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and advisor to Iran's supreme leader, Mohammad Reza Naqdi, sharply criticized US President Donald Trump.
Commenting on Trump's political behavior and statements, Naqdi stated that he lacks foresight and that long-term strategy is not visible in his decisions.
"The current US president is extremely short-sighted and acts like a naughty child. He has no long-term vision. His words should not be taken too seriously," said the Iranian general.
The IRGC general's statement comes at a time when relations between the US and Iran remain sharply tense.
Naqdi is considered one of the high-level figures in Iran's security and military affairs. His remarks directed at the US president, due to his closeness to Iran's supreme leadership, can be seen as an indicator of Tehran's attitude towards the Washington administration.
The confrontation between Iran and the US in recent times is not limited to the diplomatic sphere. Military operations, mutual threats, and tensions related to US facilities in the region are also on the agenda.
Trump, on the other hand, had previously demonstrated a tough stance on Iran, calling on Tehran to comply with US demands and sending a message that he would not compromise on issues related to Iran's nuclear program.
Iranian officials have repeatedly stated that US pressure and military threats will not change Tehran's policy.
