Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that his country plans to refuse financial aid from the United States.

According to Netanyahu, financial support from the US is like "unemployment benefits" and he does not want Israel to be dependent on such aid.
The Prime Minister stated that the Israeli economy is no longer a "small economy" and the country has the power to finance its GDP share corresponding to the support it receives from Washington on its own.
"I want this process to start this year," Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized.
