Against the backdrop of fuel shortages in Russia, the government plans to import up to 400,000 tons of gasoline per month. India is reported to be one of the main sources of imports.
Modern.az reports that "Reuters" has disseminated information about this.
According to the information, the planned volume of gasoline imports could cost Russia approximately 29-33 billion rubles every month.
According to experts' calculations, even if state subsidies are maintained and a severe fuel shortage does not occur in the country, the selling price of imported gasoline at gas stations could be around 90 rubles/liter due to logistics and additional costs.
It is noted that in recent months, Russia has been trying to expand its import capabilities to meet domestic demand amid tensions in the fuel market, reduced production at oil refineries, and logistical problems.
