The oil refinery located in Kulevi port, Georgia, will completely refuse to import crude oil of Russian origin starting from August-September 2026.
Modern.az reports that "Black Sea Petroleum" (BSP), the owner of the plant, released information about this.
The company's statement said that starting from August-September, only non-Russian crude oil will be processed at the enterprise.
"This decision will ensure the access of products produced by "Black Sea Petroleum" to markets that promise high profitability", - the statement noted.
According to the company, in the first half of 2026, the volume of oil processed at the plant exceeded 650 thousand tons.
In addition, "Black Sea Petroleum" expanded its cooperation with the international technology company "Honeywell". Within the framework of the new agreement, the supply of modern equipment and the implementation of automated control systems are envisaged for the enterprise.
