The outgoing Prime Minister of Great Britain, Keir Starmer, made an interesting claim about the current composition of the country's parliament. He stated that the current parliament is a global leader in this area.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that Starmer spoke about this at a special event of the LGBT community:
"I am proud that we have been able to form a parliament with the most gay professionals in history. I don't think there is a second parliament in human history or anywhere else in the world that has more gay representatives. This is truly a fantastic indicator."
It should be noted that at the event, Keir Starmer was jokingly introduced to the audience as a "lesbian style icon." The head of the British government emphasized that he accepted this unusual title with great pleasure and that he liked the joke.
