It was noted that the first player to protest was Pap Geye. He made an emotional post on his social media account, sharply criticizing the situation within the team.
According to information, the head coach has not received a salary for half a year. The federation stated that it could not resolve the situation, citing financial problems.
The situation is reported to be even more severe. During the World Cup, the team was not provided with quality nutrition. Footballers had to buy their food from local stores and, in some cases, covered their restaurant expenses themselves.
Thus, the Senegal national team's tournament trip was marked by serious organizational and financial problems.
