Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda has stated that the ban on the deployment of nuclear weapons could be removed from the country's constitution.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that according to him, this is necessary so that Vilnius does not face any restrictions "if new circumstances arise in the future."
The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense also supported the lifting of the ban on the deployment of weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons, on the country's territory. The head of the institution, Robertas Kaunas, stated that Lithuania remains almost the only country in NATO with such a restriction.
