In a statement shared on his social media account, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called Russian President Vladimir Putin's statements about the situation on the front a lie.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that Zelensky stated that on the eve of US Independence Day, Putin tried to deceive the world community and the US President by claiming that Konstantinovka had allegedly come under the control of the Russian army.
"This is not true. This is just another Russian lie to create an agenda," the Ukrainian leader emphasized.
Zelensky added that if Konstantinovka is indeed under Russian control, then Putin can meet him there to discuss diplomatic solutions to end the war.
"If Konstantinovka is now under Russian control, then Putin would probably have no problem meeting me there and finding diplomatic solutions that would finally end the war. But he will not cross the front line, because the truth is completely different from what Putin says," Zelensky noted.
