US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Ratcliffe claimed that Russia suffered heavy losses in the war in Ukraine.
Modern.az reports that he spoke about this, citing US intelligence estimates.
According to Ratcliffe, the average survival time of newly mobilized Russian servicemen on the front line is only 20-30 minutes.
The CIA chief said that one of the main reasons for this is Ukraine's strike unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with artificial intelligence technologies. He noted that these drones have become "cheap and highly effective means of destruction."
According to US intelligence, Russia loses approximately 7,000 servicemen every week.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously stated that more than 80 percent of targets destroyed on the battlefield are accounted for by unmanned aerial vehicles.
Reportedly, against the background of the current situation, the US and its allies are considering increasing funding for Ukraine's unmanned aerial vehicle programs, as well as expanding cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.
