According to the decision adopted by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council, public transport, taxi and service fees in the city will be increased by 10 percent starting from July 20.
Modern.az reports that, according to the new decision, the price of a full ticket on buses and subways has increased to 46.20 liras, and a student ticket to 22.55 liras. The monthly full "Mavi Kart" subscription fee has been set at 3628 liras, and the student card at 653 liras.
Depending on the distance, the fare on the metrobus will vary between 33.08 liras and 68.59 liras, and on the "Marmaray" train between 37.40 liras and 82.17 liras.
An increase was also recorded in sea transport. Thus, the Üsküdar-Eminönü route has been increased to 58.52 liras, the Kadıköy-Eminönü line to 65.21 liras, and the Bostancı-Adalar trip to 171.89 liras.
The price increase also affected taxi and minibus services. The minimum fare for taxis has been increased from 210 liras to 230 liras, and the opening price of the taximeter has been raised to 71.94 liras. For minibuses, the fare for the shortest distance has been set at 43 liras, and for students at 28 liras. In addition, the minimum price for monthly school services has increased to 4456 liras, and the price for employee services to 2512.99 liras.
