The Yemeni government has announced its readiness to launch military operations against the Houthi movement ("Ansar Allah") operating in the country.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that Yemen's Minister of Defense Taher al-Uqayli stated that the army has been brought to the highest state of combat readiness.
According to the minister, the main goal of the government forces is to put an end to the coup carried out by the "Ansar Allah" movement and to fully restore state authority in the country.
According to information, clashes between government forces and Houthis have intensified again in various regions of the country in recent days. Against this background, official Sana'a appealed to residents living in Houthi-controlled areas, urging them not to join the armed conflict on the side of the rebels.
It should be noted that the armed conflict between government forces and Houthis in Yemen has been ongoing for many years, and the country is facing one of the most severe humanitarian crises in the Middle East. The latest statements indicate that the conflict could escalate into a larger-scale military phase.
