US President Donald Trump is reportedly planning to impose new customs duties ranging from 10 to 12.5 percent on nearly 60 countries this week.
Modern.az reports that Financial Times published this information citing US officials.
According to the publication, Trump plans to replace the 10 percent global customs duty for all countries, which came into force in February and is about to expire, with new tariffs for some countries.
According to the information, the new duties are expected to range from 10 percent to 12.5 percent and cover approximately 60 countries.
It should be recalled that in February, Donald Trump signed a decision imposing a 10 percent import duty on all products imported into the US for a period of 150 days. According to the White House statement, the decision was adopted under Article 122 of the 1974 Trade Act and came into force on February 24.
The current 150-day period ends on July 24.
