Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that his country has transitioned from the “Third Republic” to the “Fourth Republic” stage.
Modern.az reports that Pashinyan stated at a government meeting that the government program for 2026–2031 is based on the ideology of “Real Armenia” and the concept of the “Fourth Republic.”
The Prime Minister expressed the main difference between the “Third Republic” and the “Fourth Republic” as follows:
“The Third Republic was built on the logic of conflict from day one, while the Fourth Republic was formed on the logic of peace.”
According to Pashinyan, one of the main goals of the Third Republic, declared in the 1990s, was related to historical details, and the Karabakh movement also stemmed from this concept.
He stated that Armenia can now return to the reform agenda, which was planned to be implemented after the 2018 “velvet revolution” in peaceful conditions, but was not fully realized due to the pandemic, war, and post-war crises.
Pashinyan also announced that the government's new program will be presented in more detail at the National Assembly next week.
