Tourism revenue, number of tourists, and overnight stays for 2025 and the first quarter of 2026 in Azerbaijan have been announced.

In 2025, Baku city generated 3 billion 251 million 511.4 thousand manats in tourism revenue, with the number of overnight stays reaching 47 million 249 thousand 126.
In Gabala, tourism revenue was 233 million 801 thousand manats, and the number of overnight stays was 2 million 760 thousand 724. In Gusar, 216 million 168.1 thousand manats in revenue and 2 million 466 thousand 353 overnight stays were recorded, while in Guba, 218 million 400.1 thousand manats in revenue and 3 million 2 thousand 148 overnight stays were recorded.
In Nakhchivan, tourism revenue was 196 million 906.1 thousand manats, and the number of overnight stays was 3 million 129 thousand 789. In Khachmaz, 165 million 465.8 thousand manats in revenue was generated, with the number of overnight stays being 2 million 34 thousand 230.
In Absheron, tourism revenue was 138 million 544.4 thousand manats, with 3 million 358 thousand 485 overnight stays, while in Sumgayit, revenue was 116 million 941.9 thousand manats, with 2 million 802 thousand 39 overnight stays.
In Lankaran, 84 million 955.4 thousand manats in revenue and 1 million 565 thousand 437 overnight stays were recorded, while in Ismayilli, 84 million 93.8 thousand manats in revenue and 2 million 99 thousand 804 overnight stays were recorded.
In the first quarter of 2026, tourism revenue in Baku was 743 million 21.1 thousand manats, with 11 million 457 thousand 571 overnight stays. In the same period of 2025, the capital's revenue was 543 million 890.7 thousand manats, and the number of overnight stays was 8 million 684 thousand 129.
In Nakhchivan, in the first quarter of 2026, tourism revenue was 30 million 296.5 thousand manats, with 388 thousand 921 overnight stays. In the same period last year, these figures were 47 million 493.3 thousand manats and 616 thousand 997, respectively.
In Gusar, tourism revenue decreased from 57 million 687.6 thousand manats to 28 million 419.4 thousand manats, and the number of overnight stays decreased from 630 thousand 310 to 254 thousand 630. In Gabala, revenue decreased from 61 million 596.8 thousand manats to 27 million 209.3 thousand manats, and the number of overnight stays decreased from 672 thousand 983 to 329 thousand 902.
In Guba, revenue decreased from 47 million 620.5 thousand manats to 33 million 541.3 thousand manats, and the number of overnight stays decreased from 712 thousand 53 to 465 thousand 520. In Absheron, revenue decreased from 32 million 889.3 thousand manats to 20 million 42.3 thousand manats, and the number of overnight stays decreased from 780 thousand 163 to 453 thousand 642.
In Sumgayit, tourism revenue decreased from 28 million 52.9 thousand manats to 21 million 6.3 thousand manats, and the number of overnight stays decreased from 684 thousand 815 to 447 thousand 590. In Ganja, revenue decreased from 22 million 942.2 thousand manats to 9 million 986.5 thousand manats, and the number of overnight stays decreased from 415 thousand 828 to 187 thousand 369.
In Sheki, in the first quarter of 2026, tourism revenue was 12 million 668.1 thousand manats, with 251 thousand 931 overnight stays. In the same period of 2025, revenue was 19 million 250.7 thousand manats, and the number of overnight stays was 369 thousand 412.
In Khachmaz, tourism revenue decreased from 21 million 962.2 thousand manats to 12 million 961.2 thousand manats, and the number of overnight stays decreased from 290 thousand 31 to 178 thousand 878.
There were also cities and regions where tourism revenues increased. In Baku, revenues increased by 37 percent, in Ismayilli by 4 percent, in Naftalan by 54 percent, in Lerik by 17 percent, in Khizi by 80 percent, in Goranboy by 46 percent, in Tartar by 90 percent, and in Dashkasan by 73 percent.
In the first quarter of 2026, the number of tourists in Baku was 466 thousand 329 people. This is 9 percent more compared to the same period of the previous year. In Shamakhi, the number of tourists increased by 3 percent to 16 thousand 257, in Naftalan by 63 percent to 13 thousand 915, and in Khizi by 136 percent to 6171 people.
In Tartar, the number of tourists increased by 88 percent to 4588, and in Dashkasan, it increased by 76 percent to 2484 people.
