Ravil Taghiyev has revealed the reasons for his departure from the position of Deputy Director for Economic Affairs at the New Clinic.
Modern.az reports that in a statement to Iqtisadiyyat.az, he said that he left his job at the New Clinic at his own request.
Ravil Taghiyev emphasized that there were two main reasons for his decision to leave his job, stating that his eldest child will start higher education in Florida, USA, this year. He himself won the "Green Card" program in May of last year. Therefore, in July of this year, he submitted an application to resign from his position at his own request:
“On July 31, the management responded positively to my application. Although the new management of the clinic also wanted me to stay. Not only the New Clinic, but also the University of Economics, where I taught for many years, and the A. Aliyev Institute for Advanced Medical Studies, where I worked until the last day, have always highly appreciated my activities, and I am very pleased with the management of all three institutions.”
It should be noted that Ravil Taghiyev is the first Azerbaijani to be allowed to study in Turkey for a doctorate (Management of Healthcare Organizations) through state channels.
He was the chairman of the organizing committee of the 1st Turkic-speaking, 1st Caspian, and 1st International Healthcare Management Congress, which was held in Baku for the first time in the history of Azerbaijan in early July of this year and represented 10 countries.
Ravil Taghiyev, who received his bachelor's degree in management at Selcuk University in Konya, Turkey, from 1997-2001, received his master's degree in business organization and management at Ankara University from 2001-2005. Ravil Taghiyev, who has been a doctoral student at Ankara Gazi University (Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University) since 2005, began his career in 2008 at a university hospital in Ankara. In 2011, he returned to Azerbaijan and worked as an executive director at Modern Hospital until February 2024.
During his time at the New Clinic, Ravil Taghiyev also engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities in parallel and worked as a teacher in his specialty at Azerbaijan State University of Economics and A. Aliyev Azerbaijan State Institute for Advanced Medical Studies (ADHTİ).
Ravil Taghiyev, who has published many articles in Azerbaijan and abroad, is also the supervisor of 4 dissertation works.
