The film “Armour of God 4” starring Jackie Chan will be the first film to apply the “cash rebate” mechanism for foreign film projects in Azerbaijan.
Modern.az reports in response to an inquiry addressed to ARKA that within the framework of the project, a certain part of the expenses incurred and documented during filming in Azerbaijan is intended to be returned to the production company.
The amount to be reimbursed will be calculated based on the expenses incurred during the filming of the movie in Azerbaijan and confirmed by relevant documents. Currently, “Salem Entertainment”, the producer of the film, is preparing documents confirming the expenses incurred during filming in Azerbaijan.
After the documents are submitted to the Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARKA), relevant calculations will be made for the project. After that, 40 percent of the confirmed expenses are planned to be returned to the production company.
Thus, the film “Armour of God 4” starring Jackie Chan will go down in history as the first foreign film to apply the “cash rebate” mechanism in Azerbaijan.
