Throughout history, Jews have managed to preserve their identity, religious traditions, and social institutions by living in communities in various parts of the world for a long time without their own national state. Although Jewish communities faced different challenges in different periods, thanks to their high adaptability, and the importance they attached to education and professionalism, they were able to occupy an active and visible position in many countries. At the same time, they played an important role in the political, scientific, cultural, and economic development of the countries where they lived.
Azerbaijan has historically been a part of this multifaceted process. For centuries, Jewish communities living in our country have contributed to the socio-political and cultural life of the country by operating in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation with the local population.
