In the elections to the State Duma held in Russia, the candidate from the Chechen Republic, Adam Delimkhanov, showed the highest result in single-mandate constituencies.
Modern.az reports that, according to the data released by the Central Election Commission, Delimkhanov, a candidate from the "United Russia" party, collected 95.21 percent of the votes in Chechnya. With this, he became the candidate with the highest result in single-mandate constituencies.
The second result belongs to Khizri Abakarov, a candidate from Dagestan. He collected 89.8 percent of the votes. Ivan Demchenko, a candidate from North Ossetia, showed a result of 86.71 percent.
In the next places, Aleksey Gordeyev from Voronezh region - 84.76 percent, and the chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin from Saratov region - 82.93 percent.
It should be noted that the elections to the State Duma in Russia were held on September 18-20. Delimkhanov's result is approximately 4.6 percentage points lower than the 99.85 percent result achieved by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov in the same elections.
