Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
Modern.az reports that, according to information provided by the Kremlin's press service, the presidents exchanged views on "further strengthening of Russian-Iranian cooperation in various fields, including energy and transport infrastructure".
The statement emphasizes that "the situation regarding Iran's nuclear program was also discussed".
"Pezeshkian sincerely congratulated Putin on the upcoming New Year. In turn, the Russian leader conveyed his best wishes to the leadership and people of the Islamic Republic on the occasion of Iran's recently celebrated national holiday", - the Kremlin added.
