An opening ceremony of the English language course organized with the participation of instructors from the US Defense Language Institute was held at the Foreign Language Center of the Military Management Institute (MMI) operating under the National Defense University (NDU).
According to information provided to Modern.az by the Ministry of Defense, the leadership of the institute, the faculty of the Foreign Language Center, and military personnel involved in the course participated in the event.
First, the State Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.
Speakers stated that foreign language knowledge is one of the important directions of professional training for military personnel in the modern era and wished success to the course participants. It was noted that during the 4-month course, instructors from the US Defense Language Institute will conduct relevant classes to develop the foreign language knowledge and skills of the participants, and to improve their listening, reading, writing, and speaking abilities.
Then, participants were given detailed information about the organization of the course and the teaching process.
