Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his congratulations on Ukraine's Independence Day.
Modern.az reports that Zelensky made a post about this on his "X" account.
"Turkey's firm commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity forms the basis of our unprecedentedly strong relations. Ukraine also highly appreciates your personal participation and Turkey's mediation efforts in the return of Ukrainians from Russian captivity, as well as in bringing peace closer," Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian leader also emphasized the importance of Turkey's role in ending the war and in the peace process.
