Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov denied reports about a new wave of mobilization in the country, calling them an "information duck."
Modern.az reports that Dmitry Peskov told RTVI that reports about preparations for a new mobilization in Russia do not reflect the truth.
According to the Kremlin representative, this information is deliberately spread by the Ukrainian authorities. He said that such claims are aimed at destabilizing the socio-political situation in Russia.
"All this is spread by the Ukrainian authorities. The regime is trying to ideologically shake up the situation in our country. These are information ducks deliberately thrown into the information space," Peskov said.
It should be noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly claimed since the beginning of summer that a new mobilization could be held in Russia. He suggested that mobilization could be announced in Russia in August after the State Duma elections in September.
It should be recalled that, according to official data, more than 600,000 Azerbaijanis are citizens of Russia. Partial mobilization in Russia was announced on September 21, 2022, by a decree of President Vladimir Putin. At that time, Sergey Shoigu, who served as Minister of Defense, announced the completion of mobilization measures on October 28, 2022. According to Shoigu, 300,000 people were sent to the Russian army within the framework of that mobilization.
