It is reported that “Bayraktar Kalkan” is an unmanned aerial vehicle with vertical take-off and landing capability. The UAV's operational range reaches 500 kilometers, and its communication range exceeds 70 kilometers. The maximum take-off weight of the apparatus is 78 kilograms, and its payload capacity is 3 kilograms. Due to its vertical take-off and landing capability, “Bayraktar Kalkan” does not require a traditional runway. This feature allows the UAV to be used even in limited-size areas. According to information, the apparatus can stay in the air for up to 6 hours. Its operational altitude is 6 thousand feet, and its practical flight ceiling is 10 thousand feet. The wingspan of the UAV is 5 meters.
