US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has called on countries to cut all financial ties with Iran.
Modern.az reports that “The Hill” published this information.
Bessent stated that countries that continue financial relations with Iran may face the risk of being excluded from the US dollar-based financial system:
"President Donald Trump is holding phone conversations with leaders of various countries around the world. At the same time, representatives of the US defense, finance, and foreign ministries are also contacting their counterparts to demand the suspension of financial and economic ties with Iran. Otherwise, they face the risk of being excluded from the US dollar system.”
