Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy provided information about the recent telephone conversation held with US President Donald Trump.
Modern.az reports that Zelenskyy made a post about this on his “Telegram” page. He stated that during the conversation, Trump's special representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, also joined the discussions. The President noted that the parties exchanged views on the ongoing process aimed at stopping the war and the work carried out by the teams.
Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of the PURL program, and also highlighted the necessity of acquiring air defense systems from the United States to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.
According to him, the agenda for the bilateral meeting to be held in Geneva during the phone call, and preparations for the next talks in a trilateral format, planned for early March, were also discussed.
The Ukrainian leader expressed hope that this process would lay the groundwork for a meeting at the level of heads of state in the future and noted the importance of consistent diplomatic steps to end the war.
