Iran has rejected claims that a ceasefire with the United States has been extended.
Modern.az reports that Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bagayi made a statement about this. He said that the information in the media does not reflect the truth.
Bagayi also spoke about the next round of meetings with the United States:
"No concrete date has yet been set for the next round of talks with the United States. The Washington side has repeatedly hindered the peace process so far and must first clearly demonstrate its intention to end hostilities for real progress. The positions put forward by the United States during the first round of talks in Islamabad were considered unfounded and far from reality by Tehran. I should also note that the dialogue between Iran and the United States is currently continuing only through Pakistan."
The spokesman particularly emphasized that Tehran does not intend to discuss the issue of transferring enriched uranium to Russia.
