Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is confident that preparatory work for the TRIPP project will begin in 2026.
According to Modern.az, Pashinyan made this statement while presenting the election platform of the ruling "Civil Contract" Party.
"I am confident that we will start preparatory work in 2026. According to my calculations, the power lines will be operational sooner...
This project will also create many jobs, and I hope that we will provide jobs for Armenian citizens, and companies will not have to attract labor from other countries," Pashinyan said.
He expressed confidence that the reconstruction of the Gyumri-Turkey border and Yeraskh-Nakhchivan border railway sections will be carried out very quickly, within 1-1.5 years.
One of the points in the "Economic Development" section of the "Civil Contract" Party's election platform concerns the start of work on the implementation of the TRIPP (Trump's International Peace and Prosperity Road) investment project. The same section also mentions the reconstruction of the Gyumri-Turkey and Yeraskh-Nakhchivan railway sections. It is noted that the full opening of the region's transport infrastructure, including the implementation of the TRIPP project and the launch of the Gyumri-Kars railway, will further strengthen peace and cooperation in the region.
