Disagreement in Iran disrupted US talks.
Modern.az reports that, according to "Iran International", the disagreement within the Iranian leadership disrupted the talks planned with the US in Islamabad.
It is reported that the tension between President Masoud Pezeshkian's team and forces close to the supreme religious leader prevented the visit from taking place.
According to the information, although the delegation was already ready to depart, instructions were given from circles close to Mojtaba Khamenei to remove nuclear issues from the discussion.
In addition, the team of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was criticized for previous talks.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, however, stated that there is no point in participating in the talks without removing the restrictions.
It is noted that this event occurred against the backdrop of a possible visit of the US delegation to Islamabad and Donald Trump's extension of the ceasefire regime.
