Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi will visit Islamabad with a written response to the proposals put forward by the United States regarding the settlement of the conflict between Tehran and Washington.
Modern.az reports that "The New York Times" (NYT) spread information citing sources.
According to the publication, Araqchi is taking with him an official written response to the US ideas for a peace agreement when he visits Pakistan on Friday. The information was confirmed to the newspaper by two high-ranking Iranian officials familiar with the details of the visit.
According to sources, Araqchi is expected to meet with US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff and the president's son-in-law Jared Kushner in Pakistan over the weekend.
At the same time, it is reported that although official Tehran announced that it will not hold direct talks with Washington until the US lifts the blockade it imposed on Iranian ports, messages are being exchanged through Pakistan through closed channels and steps are being taken towards resuming talks.
