Behind-the-scenes talks continue between the US and Iran for a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Modern.az reports that, according to CNN, the first stage of this process could be an agreement that envisages a return to the pre-war situation and the restoration of free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
The information states that the current talks are based on a phased approach, and the first part of a possible agreement is aimed precisely at restoring the pre-war status quo, as well as re-ensuring the unrestricted and duty-free operation of the strait.
It is noted that the issue of Iran's nuclear program can be discussed at a later stage. During the talks, diplomatic mediators put pressure on both sides.
At the same time, there remains the risk that the US may decide to restart military operations.
