Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that they support the peace process in the South Caucasus.
Modern.az reports that he noted that significant progress has been made towards peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“Almost very little time is left for the official formalization of peace between the two countries. After that, the South Caucasus, which has great strategic importance, will begin to play a different role both regionally and globally,” Yılmaz emphasized.
According to the Turkish official, the development of the “Middle Corridor” and the opening of the Zangezur corridor will significantly contribute to the increase in transit cargo transportation:
“Overall, this will ensure both an increase in the level of security and an increase in prosperity in the formation of balance in the region.”
