Georgia has announced its readiness to restore strategic partnership with the United States.
Modern.az reports that the country's Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze wrote about this on his official social network account.
The head of government, who issued a statement on relations with the United States, emphasized that the previous administration showed a tough stance against his country:
"The previous US administration demanded the most difficult steps from us, which was followed by pressure, coercion, and blackmail against the Georgian people and state. It is precisely as a result of this that thousands of troubles befell us. Things destroyed by injustice can only be corrected with fair approaches. We are ready to discuss all the details regarding the restoration of strategic partnership."
