The official website of Kenyan President William Ruto has been subjected to a hacker attack.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that Kenyans.co published information about this.
According to the information, instead of official information, offensive content directed against the president was placed on the main page of the site. The hackers also shared the address of a cryptocurrency wallet and demanded a ransom of 5 bitcoins (approximately 319 thousand US dollars).
They threatened to disclose certain information about the president to the public if their demands were not met.
The message shared by the hackers says:

According to the publication, the Kenyan authorities have confirmed the fact of cyber interference. It was reported that information and communication technology specialists are working to eliminate the problem and restore control over the site.
