Ukraine's drone attacks in Russia's Moscow and Tambov regions have caused significant losses for Wildberries, one of the country's largest online trading platforms.

Modern.az reports that The Bell publication released information about this.

According to the information, as a result of the attack, two large logistics centers of the company located in Elektrostal, Moscow region, and Kotovsk, Tambov region, were damaged. According to sources, 10-15 percent of Wildberries' total warehouse areas were put out of action.

A source close to the company stated that this does not mean a complete halt to the marketplace's operations. However, a serious overload of the logistics system is expected, especially in the Moscow market.

According to real estate experts of "Vedomosti" newspaper, Wildberries lost approximately 350 thousand square meters of logistics area. This is approximately 7 percent of the company's entire warehouse fund.

According to experts' calculations, the value of logistics parks is more than 20 billion rubles. Taking into account the goods and equipment stored in the warehouses, the total damage is reported to have reached 50 billion rubles, which is approximately 640 million US dollars.

During the attack, 8 people died and dozens were injured.

Wildberries head Tatyana Kim stated that the company is discussing a payment mechanism for sellers who lost their goods. However, she noted that according to current rules, the marketplace has no obligation to pay compensation for lost goods.
