Taliban leader Hibatullah Akhundzada has issued a verbal directive banning the use of smartphones by group members and civil servants.
Modern.az reports that "KabulNow" and "Afghanistan International" have published information about this.
According to the information, the directive was sent by the Taliban's Department for the Enforcement and Monitoring of Decrees to military courts operating in eight regions of the country.
The decision states that those who violate the ban will be considered criminals and will be handed over to military courts.
In addition, a special list of persons under control has been prepared. This list includes their name, position, place of service, mobile operator they use, and phone number.
