Anna Akopyan, the former first lady who recently divorced Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, has once again become the center of attention.

Modern.az reports that some Armenian websites and social networks have published video materials about Anna Akopyan and the “My Step” foundation she leads.

One of the videos claims that the Turkish leadership allegedly transfers millions of dollars to the “My Step” foundation, where Anna Akopyan is the executive director.

Another video states that Anna Akopyan was removed from political processes due to traces of corruption and a negative impact on her rating.

The third video claims that Anna Akopyan embezzled millions of dollars intended for sick children and therefore disappeared from public life “through a fake divorce.”

Anna Akopyan and the “My Step” Foundation have called the circulated news completely false, baseless, and slanderous claims.

“It is clear that the authors of these stories serve the same purpose: spreading disinformation without any facts, evidence, or justification, and fabricating slanderous lies about Anna Akopyan.

The financial activities of the “My Step” Foundation are carried out in accordance with the requirements of Armenian legislation, and information about donations and programs is published in the manner prescribed by law.

We ask you to rely only on official statements from reliable sources and not to spread such slanderous lies,” the “My Step” Foundation stated in its announcement.

Pashinyan's supporters, meanwhile, noted on social media that these materials aim to cast a shadow over the ruling “Civil Contract” party's victory in the parliamentary elections.

Incidentally, after Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's victory in the parliamentary elections was formalized, Anna Akopyan made an interesting post on social media. A. Akopyan, who published her photo with the title "Yerevan Wine Days," quickly caused widespread discussions in the Armenian segment of social networks.

It should be recalled that although Anna Akopyan separated from Pashinyan, she took steps to support the Prime Minister in the parliamentary elections.

It should be noted that on February 27 of this year, Akopyan announced her separation from Pashinyan. She stated that she had left the government residence and moved to a rented apartment. At the same time, she announced that she would remain in her position as executive director of the "My Step" foundation.
