We are members of a great nation with a rich history and a great conscience. For centuries, we have helped those who fell, rushed to the aid of those in trouble, and opened our doors to those who sought refuge in our country.
Modern.az reports that Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said these words in a statement to the media after the Cabinet meeting.
We do not attach the slightest importance to the slanders of the criminal network, which has the blood of 73 thousand innocent Gazans, most of whom are children, on their hands, regarding our country. There is no oppression, no massacre, no colonialism, no genocide in our history. There is mercy in our glorious history. There is a helping hand to all the oppressed, regardless of their religion, identity, or origin. There is the virtue of protecting those who fled the Inquisition and Nazi oppression," he said.
It should be noted that the Israeli government recognized the so-called "Armenian genocide" and submitted it to the Knesset for discussion and approval.
