Changes are being made to the rules for teacher certification and salary increases.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev while answering journalists' questions.
According to the minister, teachers who achieve a high result in the first certification, i.e., 51 points or more, receive a 35% increase in their salary. The next time the same teacher successfully passes the exam, an additional 10% increase is applied to their salary.
Emin Amrullayev noted that issues related to the next stages are still under discussion:
"We do not intend to test teachers every time. But conducting the certification process is essential. Because previously there were teachers who couldn't even write an application. Thanks to the reforms carried out, there are no such teachers in the system now."
