The US Secretary of Homeland Security is not sufficient to lead the organization of international tournaments.
Modern.az reports that this was written by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in a post on his X account.
“The US Secretary of Homeland Security is not sufficient to lead the organization of international tournaments. Mr. Mallin, you have successfully fulfilled your mission,” Araqchi wrote.
US Secretary of Homeland Security Mark Wayne Mallin, commenting on the decision to exclude the Iranian national team from the World Cup, stated that he was “dancing with joy” at the result.
The Iranian Foreign Minister noted that such behavior is an example of damaging the reputation and trust gained from organizing major international sporting events.
