Iran's Foreign Ministry issued a statement after the US airstrikes overnight.
Modern.az reports that the statement says that despite less than 20 days passing since the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, the revocation of the general license issued on June 21 is further proof of the US's dishonest, inconsistent, and unreliable policy.
It was noted that in the last 20 days, the US has repeatedly violated various provisions of the memorandum, both directly and through Israel's actions in Lebanon.
"After the Memorandum of Understanding was signed on June 18, the Islamic Republic of Iran made every effort to conscientiously and fully fulfill its obligations under the document. However, the US administration, as before, not only violated its obligations but also tried to justify these actions with baseless excuses," the statement emphasized.
Iran's Foreign Ministry warned the US about the consequences of violating the agreement, stating that the country will take all measures it deems necessary to protect its national interests and national security.
