Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that there is no alternative to diplomacy to achieve peace in the Middle East.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep concern about the events in the region and stated that the resumption of military operations is not in the interests of any party. The statement issued by the Ministry says: "Pakistan calls on all parties to exercise restraint and refrain from any action that could further undermine peace and stability in the region."
Islamabad called on Washington and Tehran to equally comply with the terms of the memorandum of understanding. It should be noted that the US and Iran accuse each other of violating the agreement.
It should be noted that the US launched strikes on Iranian territory in response to attacks on merchant ships in the Strait of Hormuz. After Washington declared that it would not observe the ceasefire, the Iranian side stopped negotiations.
