Another exchange of bodies has taken place between Russia and Ukraine.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that Russian military correspondent Alexander Kots announced this.
According to him, within the framework of the exchange, the bodies of 501 deceased servicemen were handed over to the Ukrainian side. Russia, in turn, received the bodies of 31 servicemen from the other side.
According to the information, on July 4, the Russian Ministry of Defense proposed a temporary cessation of fire in the direction of Konstantinovka. According to the proposal, a ceasefire was to be declared for humanitarian purposes from 12:00 to 18:00 Moscow time on July 6, and the transfer of the bodies of deceased servicemen was to be ensured.
It should be noted that the parties have carried out several exchanges of bodies in recent months. On June 18, Russia handed over the bodies of 522 servicemen to Ukraine, and Ukraine handed over the bodies of 33 servicemen to Russia. During the exchange on May 15, Moscow returned the bodies of 526 servicemen, and Kyiv returned the bodies of 41 servicemen to the other side.
In the exchange that took place on April 9, Russia handed over the bodies of 1000 servicemen to Ukraine, and Ukraine returned the bodies of 41 Russian servicemen.
