Saudi Arabia is considering the possibility of resuming military operations in Yemen after a ceasefire announced four years ago.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that discussions on this issue in Riyadh have resurfaced after attempts to establish a stable air connection between Iran and the territories controlled by Yemen's "Ansar Allah" (Houthis) movement.
According to information, the Houthis have been warned twice in the last month not to allow Iranian planes to land in the territories they control. However, the movement refused to comply with Saudi Arabia's demands.
In addition, the Houthis also announced their withdrawal from the current ceasefire agreement with Saudi Arabia.
This development of events increases the risk of the long-standing conflict in Yemen escalating back into a large-scale military plane. According to experts, such a scenario could further exacerbate the already complex security situation in the Middle East.
