Israel is constructing a miles-long earthen barrier in the Gaza Strip.

It was stated that the Israel Defense Forces are building defensive fortifications along the area called the "yellow line" and creating a new security zone there. According to a statement from the Israeli army's press service, this barrier is being built to protect soldiers and nearby Israeli settlements.
It is noted that the area initially called the "yellow line" was considered temporary, and after the ceasefire agreement, Israeli troops were supposed to withdraw further.
