MP Vugar Bayramov stated that the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Germany creates new opportunities for the development of economic relations.

V. Bayramov noted that in 2025, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Germany amounted to 1 billion 376 million dollars. Although this indicator showed a certain decrease compared to the previous year, the trade turnover between the two countries has increased by 68 percent in the last five years.
The MP emphasized that the European Union, of which Germany is a member, has been one of Azerbaijan's main trade partners for many years. According to him, in 2025, more than 42 percent of Azerbaijan's 43 billion 830 million dollar foreign trade turnover fell to the share of the European Union. 69 percent of Azerbaijan's 22 billion 642 million dollar exports were directed to the union countries.
The post stated that a quarter of the foreign trade turnover falls to Italy, a member of the European Union. Also, 12.8 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijan's annual 25.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas exports are transported to Europe.
V. Bayramov brought to attention that cooperation with 10 European Union countries to which Azerbaijan exports natural gas has further strengthened the country's position as an important partner in the European energy market. He noted that in the last five years, nearly 60 billion cubic meters of natural gas have been exported from Azerbaijan to Europe, and our country is among the top five gas exporting countries to the European Union.
According to the MP, the expansion of cooperation in the energy sector between Azerbaijan and Germany creates new opportunities for increasing trade turnover and promoting mutual investments. He added that President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Germany could lay the foundation for a new stage in the development of relations between the two countries.
