Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov spoke at an event in New York on the topic of “Prosperity through Peace: Investments in the Trans-Caspian Trade Route and TRIPP”.
Modern.az reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan published information about the event organized by the US government within the framework of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly on its “X” account.
The Minister stated that the development of transport and logistics connections can accelerate economic growth in the region, increase the sustainability of supply chains, and create new investment opportunities.
The event focused on the TRIPP project, which envisages the creation of an unimpeded multimodal transport connection between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Bayramov highly appreciated the efforts of the US in implementing the project. He emphasized that TRIPP creates opportunities not only for transport but also for the development of regional energy connections.
Jeyhun Bayramov also stated that Azerbaijan continues to invest in the establishment of a single transport and logistics center around Baku Port and Alat Free Economic Zone. The Minister noted the importance of simplifying logistics and customs procedures, digitalization, and strengthening coordination among regional partners.
