Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in New York on September 24, within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly.

It was noted that both ministers emphasized the importance of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia and reviewed the progress achieved after the agreements reached within the framework of the 2025 Washington Peace Summit.
It was stated that special attention was paid to the opening of economic and transport infrastructure between Azerbaijan and Armenia during the meeting. In this context, trade and transit relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia were emphasized as practical examples of the benefits of peace.
The ministers exchanged views on opportunities to promote a positive agenda in various multilateral platforms.
The ministers agreed to continue direct dialogue.
