An operation was carried out in Turkey to detain individuals linked to the "Islamic State" (ISIS) terrorist organization.
Modern.az reports that local media initially reported that 7 police officers were injured during the operation against ISIS.
However, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya later announced that three Turkish police officers were killed in a clash with ISIS militants.
The minister noted that eight more police officers were injured. Six militants were killed.
The operation is reported to have been carried out in a house near the city of Yalova, on the coast of the Sea of Marmara.
The suspects opened fire on security forces.
The condition of the injured is stable and their injuries are not life-threatening.
Special police forces were sent to the operation area from Bursa province.
