Venezuela's authorities have declared mobilization and implemented emergency measures following recent actions by the United States.

According to the decree published on Monday, a state of emergency has been declared in the country, and the mobilization of the armed forces has been demanded. A so-called "military regime" has been established for those working in the oil industry and several other strategically important industrial sectors.
Furthermore, authorities have ordered the police to immediately search for and arrest individuals nationwide who are involved in supporting or facilitating US operations in Venezuela.
The decree came into force on Saturday, but its full text was published only on January 5. Against this backdrop, protests were held in Caracas with demands for support for President Nicolas Maduro and his release.
